Chrome✕ I'm bad behavior... ✕When ✗ A bit past noon Where ✗ Roughly a kilometer from the border of Teylar Who ✗ Daphne
Time was a curious thing really; it moved and flowed at a seemingly random pace, yet it never stopped doing it. It never looked back, nor attempt to go back. Considering everything it might be strange if it actually did, but how could something only move forward all the time? How could something continue in one direction at whatever pace it wanted, yet never reach anything and always travel the same distance, no matter what you tried to do to it? It was quite an impossible question to answer, yet it still occupied a spotted stallion’s mind this day. Chrome wasn’t exactly the kind of stallion that most would think would have these kinds of questions, yet he did. Afterall he wasn’t really stupid; in theory he was quite intelligent, he just did a lot of stupid things with his intelligence. Took the shortcuts rather than the long, but proper, ways around.
Why he did so could be discussed endlessly; perhaps he was simply lazy, or maybe the right ways bored him. Maybe he lacked a beacon in life, something to steer him when he clearly couldn’t do it himself and maybe… maybe… maybe he just didn’t care. Saying that was like calling him stupid though, ‘cause he did care, as rare actions showed. He wasn’t mindlessly cruel. He didn’t treat those beneath him with disrespect. No… really, it all probably just boiled down to the fact that it was how he had always done things and changing age olds habits could be the toughest thing to ever do.
White a shake of his head he tried to rid himself of the thoughts… just clear his head and stop thinking so much; now that he had beaten the fever and his wounds had healed, he had traced back to that. He spent too much time thinking, trying to find answers to all the things that just didn’t matter at all…! ✕ ...but I do it in the best way ✕

Daphne
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ 8 Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴ƷMany souls inhabited the world. Some old, some young, some bright, some strong. All were unique and most vastly different, yet also so alike. All had dreams and ideas, things they wished to fill their life with. Some dwelled around the same dark thoughts, while others found their way of life moving along a more… light… path. And then there were those who simply followed it, let life guide them wherever it saw fit; amongst these were mostly young souls, though old ones could do the same if they allowed themselves to loose control on life, instead of desperately clinging to it. Amongst these souls were a young filly, only little more than a yearling was she, and there was no doubt that she did not follow paths chosen by herself, but rather strode along those life gave her, always choosing at random, for even the darkest path could be lit by a curious and innocent mind.
Daphne enjoyed leaving the lands of Teylar; not that she felt strangled within the confines of the herd, but simply for the adventure it presented. She still adored her mother, the black Leonora, and would always return, but found herself going further and further each day regardless of that. One day she would not return and that would most likely make the black mare worry, but it was an inevitable thing, unless she chose to imprison her foster daughter. A highly unlike act.
Some might question what adventures could truly be found out here, but if one’s mind was open enough, adventures could be anything and everything; even something as simple as meeting someone new and unknown.
Speaking of which… a spotted being caught her attention. Curiously she tipped her ears forward, blue eyes eyeing the creature. Having never seen spots like those before, the filly moved closer quickly; she had yet to experience the harshness of the world and found no reason to hold back. Adventure called after all! Chrome✕ I'm bad behavior... ✕Despite his thoughts, the stallion was not blind to the world around him. He picked up scents and sounds, but perhaps not as quickly as usually. It showed itself in the lack of detection of a filly, for he did not pick up her presence before she was mere feet from him. His ears turned back hastily for a second, his mind having to catch up to the present and what was actually happening. Blinking for a few moments, he managed to realized that the filly was no threat to him.
Not ideal company either, but no threat… not at all.
Tilting his head, he watched the filly with his own amount of curiosity. As much as he could seem to only be interested in the prize of a mare, not the actual burden of what came afterwards, he was not disinterested in foals as a whole. They were tricky creatures, no doubt, but also so simple minded that it could be admired. They did not judge, at least they did not judge the same things as adults. He felt confident in his looks, no doubt, but still…
Flicking his tail, he lowered his head towards her, ears tilted forwards again as his golden eyes meet her summer blue, in which specks of green danced, giving hints of the cream filly’s adult eyes. ✕ ...but I do it in the best way ✕

Daphne
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ 9 Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴ƷThe creature, turning out to be a stallion not much unlike the stallion that Leonora said protected and lead them in Teylar. Daphne had still a long way before she needed to truly understand the concept of herself being a mare and others, like her brother, being stallions, but in due time everything would come. However she did get that there was a difference that could mostly be found residing between the hind legs. At least Leonora didn’t have a thing there, nor did she herself, while Seyé did. One day she needed to ask Leo what it was, but with so many other questions roaming the young filly’s mind, it never really came out.
The cream filly only just managed to stop in front of the muzzle that the stallion lowered towards her, ears turned forwards and eyes big in awe. It confused her how he was almost opposite of the night sky; instead of white stars on a black sky, he looked a bit like a white sky with black stars! Or maybe he was made of snow, ‘cause when she had walked in snow, sometimes it left these weird kind of marks and then there was the whole thing with… Her mind rambled on, before she suddenly, as quickly as her mind had run off with her, was back in the game. Her tail gave an excited flick, as he looked into the spotted stallions golden eyes; they looked kinda funny too. Stepping closer, she focused on a single spot on his head.
And then, without any warning, she licked it. Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

Chrome✕ I'm bad behavior... ✕Now… Chrome had tried a lot of things in his life, done a lot of weird things and had had a lot of weird things done to him, but the filly’s movement surprised him nonetheless. He had perhaps expected her to tap his nose bridge, maybe nip his forelock or something, but… lick him? It could be called an overreaction, no doubt, but he threw his head back, his hooves shuffling backwards through the snow, as he stared at the filly. His tail swished behind him a few times, as he came to a halt, leaning slightly on his back legs, ears turned back once more.
Why had she done that? It was such a completely and utterly random act that he really couldn’t find the reason behind it. Again… foals were weird creatures that he could hardly claim to have any idea about when it came to whys and whats. ✕ ...but I do it in the best way ✕

Daphne
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ 10 Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴ƷDaphne could have done a lot of things when the stallion heaved himself backwards as if she had burned him, but she did nothing. She could have shrieked in surprise, but stayed silent. She could have backed herself, but stayed put. She could have done all these completely normal things, but instead she did the abnormal and stood quietly, looking at the stallion with her ever curious gaze. Why had he jumped back like that? Was he afraid of her? She didn’t do anything…
Her stillness didn’t last forever though; no, with her teeny, quick steps, she trotted towards him, tail bobbing behind her and a grin lighting up her muzzle. He shouldn’t be afraid of her and she was going to make sure he knew that! So in front of him she stopped, her head tilted to the side and an innocent smile on her muzzle. Compared to him she was tiny, no doubt, but from the outside she would also be the most courageous of the two, as she, despite his look, bumped her head into his chest.
“Don’t be afraid, Snowprints.” Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

Chrome✕ I'm bad behavior... ✕To Chrome’s slight amazement the filly stood her ground, just looking at him before grinning and coming towards him. He didn’t know what to expect, but that had been on his list of things not to expect regardless of that. So he stood his ground awkwardly as she trotted towards him. However as she did so, he realized that she was not as young as he had first thought; as with anything regarding fawns his knowledge was highly limited, but she was tiny. To the point of it being almost freakish, for she had left the stage of being a true foal behind. How could she be so tiny?
He didn’t have much time to think about it, as she bumped her head into his chest, no hesitation at all behind the action. Did she have no respect for others or did she simply believe she could do anything? He wasn’t sure which was the case, but he had a suspicion that neither was the case; that perhaps she simply didn’t know better.
When she spoke, giving more clues to her actual age, his ears tipped forward, before tilting backwards. Him? Afraid of her? No, no, no.. That wasn’t the case.
“I’m not afraid of you, little… Pearl.” Now that didn’t at all sound weird. Giving a huff, he nipped the filly’s back, as she didn’t really do much towards getting away from his chest. ✕ ...but I do it in the best way ✕

Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ 11 Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ”Yes you are,” Daphne giggled, rubbing her head against his chest. He was a bit fluffy, which she liked. Black One was fluffy too now that winter was upon them and there was nothing she liked more than to snuggle up against her! Would it feel nice to lay close to Snowprints too? The thoughts simply rushed innocently through her mind, before more words left her. “And I’m not ‘Pearl’; Black One calls me Daphne.”
As he nipped her back the filly backed a step, looking up at the stallion whom she had dubbed Snowprints. Not until now did she quite realized that he had those funny marks on his chest too. They didn’t look quite like the ones in this face, they were more fuzzy, but it didn’t matter; they still looked funny and unknown to her! However licking his fluffy chest was not something she would do, no no, not when he had become afraid of her because of that! Instead she nipped at the dark spot, trying to figure out if it was any different that the rest of him. Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

Chrome✕ I'm bad behavior... ✕Giving a huff, the spotted stallion conceded on the point of being scared of her; he refused to try and discuss something so simple with a foal. It would just be an uphill battle from what little experience he did have with them. He doubted he would ever really get to understand them, but then again he had never truly tried, as he had always left ‘his’ mares before the foal had been done and you didn’t see many foals in bachelor herds. He had never seen one in his anyway, although he had taken a young colt under his shoulder once… once....
“Aha,” he said as she commented on his nickname to her. So he couldn’t call her Pearl, but she could call him Snowprints? Again he huffed and rolled his eyes lightly; foals. Before he could return his name, he felt a nip and backed away, looking at the filly. She was really an odd creature… but also adorable, he had to admit that. He could so easily had turned aggressive on her, or just left her really, but there was something about her that just made him not do it.
Then again; he wasn’t harsh or heartless, he just did stupid things.
“You’re really an odd one, Pearly,” he said, his voice lighting up as he gave the filly a smile, before nipping her forelock. If she wanted to nip him, not to mention lick him, then he was going to return the favour.

Daphne
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ 12 Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴ƷHe stepped back and she wanted to follow, to try and nip the spot again; she found it amazingly funny to do so, as he reacted so differently to others. Most just went with it, but he shied away from her as if he was scared; she didn’t like making others scared, oh no, but she did find it funny and couldn’t help but giggle again as he did it, her tail flicking happily behind her, even as he spoke and nipped her forelock.
“My name’s not Pearly either,” she repeated, looking up at him, before jumping forward and bumping her head into his chest, as if it would magically make him understand it. “And I’m not odd! I’m just fluffy.” Odd was a word outside of her vocabulary and thus she just innocently rolled with it, thinking he commented on how she looked somehow. Not that most did it, but she had asked Leonora why she had suddenly become so… big… and the black mare had told her that she had simply become fluffy like everyone else. She actually liked being fluffy; it was kinda funny in it’s own weird way!
Suddenly and seemingly without reason, she turned her head and kicked off, jumping away from the spotted stallion and nipping lightly at his legs as she did so. Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

Chrome✕ I'm bad behavior... ✕As with everything Daphne had done, Chrome deemed her next action odd and unexpected. She jumped away from him, making an odd twist in the movement as she nipped his leg for no apparent reason whatsoever. He managed, may the gods now how, to pick up the cue regardless of it seeming completely out of context for him. She was to play. Playing wasn’t something he hadn’t done in forever, but it wasn’t exactly something he did everyday either; the harsh reality of life had sorta made sure of that. It didn’t mean he couldn’t do it though, nor that he didn’t want to.
And so it happened that the spotted stallion followed the filly into her game with large, overdone steps. It would to those who had met him seem completey out of character for him, when in reality it wasn’t. At heart he was a good guy, a creature of family and friendship, but hormones and battles had mostly driven it out of him. The endlessness of trying to impress and deceive, to make sure he seemed his best to the mares he was used to, had drawn him to a path of seriousness and seemingly being uncaring. ✕ ...but I do it in the best way ✕

Daphne
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ 13 Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴ƷThe creamy filly’s laughter filled the crisp winter air, as the stallion decided to follow her into her game. Black One was almost always willing to play with her and most that she had met had been too, but playing with someone knew and unknown was always a bit more funny. It was a newer adventure after all!
While his steps were big and mighty, if overdone to the point where they might look goofy to an adult, hers were tiny and twittering, her hooves barely touching the ground, as she moved around, her neck lightly bend and tail swishing happily from side to side. It was little more than a simple version of follow the leader, but the filly had loads of fun regardless. She thrived off of these kind of innocent things; off play and her own laughter. Yet she did not simply continue to lead the stallion around, even though he willingly followed her in weird shapes of this and that. No, eventually she turned to him and reared up, forcing him to make a mad dash to stop, as she planted her knees securely on the bridge of his nose, her eyes watching him with renewed curiosity. Chrome✕ I'm bad behavior... ✕Willingly the stallion followed the filly, keeping his pace goofy and playful for her sake. One could say that she was growing on him with her innocent, judgeless ways; not that he generally disliked foals or anything, but they were, after all, not his common companionship. Her very simple game gave the reason why he didn’t usually socialize with them; as lovely as it was that they had more simple ways of interaction, the simpleness of it all easily got boring. It became too little for him, not enough for his mind to process and think about, and thus he was about to abort the game, when the filly did it herself. Only narrowly did he manage to stop before slamming into her; before he had really figured out what was going on, he felt her knees on his nosebridge.
What in the world was she doing?Confused he looked at her, standing there and holding her weight as she just looked down at him. Why was she doing that? His ears tilted forward, confused and curious. ✕ ...but I do it in the best way ✕

Daphne
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴ƷAs the stallions ears tilted forward, her head tilted to the side. Ears. Her immortal fascination. What made them so interesting to her was one big mystery, but every time she had had the chance to nip at them, she had taken it without second thoughts. Sort of at least; she had had her hesitation from time to time, but never had she questioned if it was a good thing to try and snatch a bite at them. Whether it would be a trait that stayed with her for life was uncertain, but it had stayed with her so far, so why not.
With a swift movement she nipped his ears, before letting out a giggle and then pushing herself away from the spotted stallion. Before he would know what hit him, she was making a short, trotting victory round around him, thoroughly pleased with yet another conquest of a new set of ears. However, before she had even managed to get around him halfway, a whiney caught her attention, making her stop dead in her tracks and perk her ears, listening and trying to decipher.
Black One was calling for her and without thought she called back. Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

Chrome✕ I'm bad behavior... ✕Chrome just stood stunned at the filly’s action. Had she just… nipped his ears? Was that all she had wanted and why would she even want something like that? Something so random and completely and utterly without purpose? He just stood there, looking confused out into the still, crisp air, trying to wrap his mind around the action. It had spurred so many thoughts that it wasn’t even funny. So many why’s…!
As much as it caught the filly’s attention, it caught his. The sound of the whinney almost startled the stallion and he lifted his head high, before stepping back. As much as he adored the cream filly, he wasn’t going to stay with her, especially not when she had called back to her mother. It might seem funny that he was willing to ‘flee’ from a mare, but he knew mother’s weren’t playing around and considering his own experiences with his… well… mothers were just better left alone in his opinion.
“Well… Pearly… It was fun meeting you, but I think someone wants you back.” ✕ ...but I do it in the best way ✕
